      Dear netizens,

A few weeks ago, I went on a business trip to your city. Since I had some free time, I decided to rent a car at the airport so I could make a road trip and visit my friend in the Netherlands. I checked car rental prices before coming; they seemed reasonable, so I made a reservation at Alamo car rental. In the confirmation that I received in my email, the total price added up to 235.22 EUR. In the confirmation email, it is also explicitly written that the Premium Location Fee is 0.

Upon my arrival at the car rental place, I found myself in a time crunch, already running late for an appointment. In my haste, I made the rookie mistake of not reading the rental agreement before signing. The clerk informed me about additional costs for taking the car outside Germany, to which I agreed. He also suggested additional insurance, which I declined. He further mentioned a security deposit of 250 EUR. Given my rush and my knowledge of the rental price from the reservation, I signed the agreement and took the car. Little did I know, this would turn out to be a big mistake.

Today I realised that the total price of my rental was 1 418,23 EUR, which is bonkers. From what I can see in the rental agreement, they charged me even this premium location fee which was clearly 0 in the reservation. I dont understand how is that even possible. Are this prices normal or am I missing something?

      Thanks!
