      Andy Burnham to reduce government income.

      Don’t get me wrong, of course it’s a good move for people, but he needs to make that money up and at a time where investment in the military and other spends needs to be increased.

      Valid concern 
       VAT cuts alone won’t guarantee savings reach consumers. Strong price regulation must accompany this, otherwise energy companies simply pocket the difference. Hopeful Burnham pairs this with tougher oversight!

      Honestly good move I hope he also introduces rent controls because that is the main cost of most working people is not the 10 quid I spend on vat on energy but the rent that has gone up 100% in the last 10 years while salaries have remained flat.

      It’s a good move to be honest because it’ll also incentivise people to switch away from gas

      He should consider capping the taxes that councils can collect. Councils being able to tax the airspace above a business is absolutely ridiculous.
