      Shouldn’t even have Irish English signs down here,it just makes them cluttered.

      This is so disappointing to see. It’s a British country. Might as well put Irish on the signs in Wales too.

      Edit: if not British it’s in the UK at least lol

      r/ireland is always negative towards Irish for some reason, and this comment section is no exception. But only a few years ago this would’ve been unthinkable, it’s great to see some progress. And they look much more stylish than the signs in the south

      Nice to see correct Ulster dialect with “ar an chosán” rather than the more standard “ar an gcosán”. Clearly a job done with attention to detail.

      I’m stoked that everyone will at last be able to read road signs. It must have been a very confusing few years for them.

      I like their signs a lot more than the signs we have tbh. The colours feel a lot more “equal status” than the italics.
