Come norvegese, qualcuno di voi si sente ancora traumatizzato dal pensiero degli eventi accaduti anni fa? Qual è il consenso generale a Oslo rispetto ad altre parti della Norvegia (ad esempio Bergen) riguardo a questi eventi passati?
Ovviamente gli eventi sono stati uno shock per il sistema per chiunque e tutti, ma capisco anche che i tempi sono cambiati!! Come outsider (specialmente qualcuno che è cresciuto con la scena metal norvegese) e ho contatti (attraverso i social media) con cittadini norvegesi e (progressivamente) sento cose come come non considerino Oslo un posto " vera città norrena " ecc.
Mi piacerebbe sentire le vostre opinioni generali imparziali riguardo a questo argomento (e qualsiasi altra cosa possiate trovare intrigante)

The anniversary is tomorrow. Yes, it is still a heavy day for many.
Times have changed, but I have friends who were there (Utøya) and many of them still struggle. It’s a difficult subject and doesn’t really come up in casual conversation.
I honestly find it nauseating that you need to ask this. This was the worst tragedy Norway has experienced since the second world war. Of course people are still processing it.

I don’t think the consensus really is different anywhere. People who were killed were from all over the country, and this country is relatively small. Most people (myself included) know someone who knows someone that were killed that day. This day is the largest tragedy since ww2 as someone mentioned, and your post is hostly quite weird. “specially someone that grew up with Norwegian Metal scnece” again, what does this have to so with a terrorist attack?
In regards to July 22nd there is no particular city that are less affected than others. Norway is a small country in that way a tragedy one place is a national one. People who knew victims or those who lost someone are probably forever affected. It was a very somber realisation that even we can have horrible gun violence in our backyard. Today there is a less united front when discussing why it happened and some might say we created the situation that let such a man become extremist and violent.
As for what is Norse, I’d say the city tønsberg is most related to the viking era. An era that is considered to have ended 1030 or 1066 depending on academic paradigm. Bergen was actually made a city a few years after that but parts of the region were important politically.
Oslo tries to be the modern place where stuff is “happening” while Bergen tries to maintain the aesthetics of old, not Viking old though. You’ll find Viking enthusiasts all over Norway though not numerous. I bet every coastal city has had a bunch of people make their own longboat at some point.
Oslo was more a key city late 13th century to early 14th century. It became the largest around 1800.
People prefer if these things aren’t posted on days before or after 22 of July.
Many people survived the massacre, and the attention is very triggering. Please respect that in the future. Because yes, it is and was severe. We mark the day. It was terrible.

I don’t really understand what «Oslo isn’t a true norse city» is supposed to mean.. never heard that one in my life, and i am from Oslo.
Utøya is still a heavy topic, and AUF has a «77 stories» project these days to remember the people. It’s 15 years ago, so it is a anniversary of sorts and therefore more visible in the media this year than last year imo
One thing to keep in mind is that the kids gathered at Utøya were from the youth Arbeiderpartiet party. They were from local youth parties from all over the country. So even if the attack was in the Oslo-region (Utøya is a 40 minute drive from the attack in Oslo) families all over the country was directly affected by the massacre.
Bro I’m not even from Norge but this is kinda disrespectful. It seems like you’re asking out of morbid curiosity rather than solidarity. This is neither the time nor the occasion to be curious. It would be a nice gesture to delete the post. My sympathies and respects to all of Norge.
