As OTU Kharkiv and Luhansk, OSUV Khortytsia/Dnipro, and Joint Forces Task Force commander over the past two years, he brings a wealth of experience commanding units on most of the front line with a good understanding of the character of the fighting. As Land Forces commander, he also has recent experience in mobilization/training issues. Both are critical as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
