Membri dell’equipaggio di terra tengono fermo il dirigibile “Norge” sul campo innevato di Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, poco prima della sua partenza con il primo volo transpolare. Guidato dall’esploratore norvegese Roald Amundsen, il dirigibile attraversò con successo l’Oceano Artico, passando sopra il Polo Nord. (1926)

If you ever visit Ekeberg park in Oslo … there’s a monument a few minutes walk away where Roald Amunden and co set off from. There was a mooring tower built for it.
IIRC it came directly from Italy new and they just went for it.
