10° anniversario della chiusura dell’impianto di depurazione

As far as I know none of the election candidates included sewage treatment or waste management projects in their campaigns, and the fact that neither voters nor candidates seem to care about these things, when the country struggles with horrible pollution in almost every aspect, trash, sewage, harmful gas, harmful metals from mining, etc, says a lot about our society as people and where our priorities are.

I have to admit, it didn’t even cross my mind during elections, but we can’t keep ignoring this. At the same time, I can’t envision people caring either when someone stands up and does a movement about these, I somehow even think people will start fighting against such changes because it would touch their pockets, say when you bring up forcing car owners to repurchase catalytic converters, or make the government enforce fining people who litter.
