Ciao a tutti!
Giorno 1:
- Punto di partenza: Tatranská Javorina
- Punto finale: Green Lake Hut
- 12,1 km (5 ore)
Giorno 2:
- Punto di partenza: Chata pri Zelenom Plese (Rifugio del Lago Verde)
- Punto di arrivo: Hotel Sliezsky Dom
- 16,5 km (7 ore)
Giorno 3:
- Punto di partenza: Hotel Sliezsky Dom
- Punto di arrivo: Štrbské pleso
- 16,5 km (6 ore)
Apprezzerei davvero qualsiasi conoscenza e suggerimento locale. Grazie in anticipo!

There are direct shuttles between Zakopane and Lysa Polana what is a start of Morskie oko hike, from there you can start.
From Štrbské Pleso, you can take a train to Stary Smokovec and use a bus directly to Zakopane.
You can get bear spray in Zakopane, there are plenty hike stores.
1. Don’t know about public transport routes from Poland to Slovakia besides official timetable https://cp.sk/vlakbusmhd/spojenie/vysledky/?date=26.07.2026&time=7:52&f=Zakopane&fc=1&t=Tatransk%C3%A1%20Javorina&tc=1&af=true&ma=10&maf=10&cmd=cmdSearch , but from Poprad there are several busses going. I went through your first part few years ago, and I cannot recommend enough going as early as possible as usually during the summer high tatras get afternoon rain quite often.
2. I am sure there are privatier transit busses directly there (or some other commenter may have fresher info) , but look at official lines as well https://cp.sk/vlakbusmhd/spojenie/vysledky/?date=26.07.2026&time=7:55&f=%C5%A0trbsk%C3%A9%20Pleso/%C5%A0trba&fc=2&t=Zakopane&tc=1&af=true&ma=10&maf=10&cmd=cmdSearch
3. I mean given the nature of the tatras you should have reception 50% of time by any carrier (given you have EU Sim with roaming), but don’t count with streaming or stable video calls, other then on southern exposed tracks.
4. By splitting this track to three parts you did plan quite nice and moderately paced trek. Just have good footwear (ankle high) and above average physique and you’ll be good
5. Yeah, if you want to get bear more angry, be my guest 😅. But honestly, just talk with your friends so you can be heard and in case of contact, no sudden agresívne movements or eye contact and slowly back off. I met a bear on your 1st part, and it was adrenaline rush but nothing more. Don’t offer food or anything… There are some guidelines online for high tatras, but at the end, it’s more of a fear mongering in Slovakia as it is a political issue currently. I didn’t hear about any attacks on official routes in recent decade – just encounters and those aren’t that common either as bears are aware to avoid them if possible.
Use tpn.gov.pl for shuttles. Your destination is palenica biaczanaka. Also, I would suggest visiting Morskie oko if you are there, it is really beautiful and relatively easy hike, just check the photos yourself.
Where are you from? You dont need e-sim if you’re from the EU
This trek is called “magistrala” in Slovak and it basically is a circumnavigation of the Tatra mountains.
You will basically just see the mountains from the bottom the whole time.
if you are in a good shape and can manage a bit steeper sections, I can recommend a different path that would be 100x better with nicer views.
Something like this one, but the last day from “Chata pri zelenom plese” you could continue on your original plan towards polish border.

Also, if you have an additional day, you can add one more day at the beginning and do your originally planned day 1 and sleep at “Sliezsky Dom” and then continue with this one I just sent.
This route is like watching on sex instead of doing it 😀
