      They could mop the floor if they leaned into the message that it’s time to stop Islamification (which it is) while dispensing with the anti-LGBTQ bullshit and slavishly pandering to Putin.

      Yeah, or they may not. AfD is always utilizing any tragedy for their narrative. For many people voting fascist ist not an option, no matter what propaganda they are using. Articles and Headlines like this are terrible journalistic work, because its only pushing the right wingers

      Most AfD voters don’t hate gays >>in my experience<<. Many of them are against celebrating lgbt culture and making any issues regarding queer people a focal point of politics.

      Perhaps the AfD wouldn’t be getting so much attention and support if the mainstream parties had been quicker to identify, acknowledge, control, correct the very real, tangible threat that comes from the Islamist corners of the middle east.
