L’ultimo articolo di RTL afferma che il costo medio lordo nel settore privato è di 4.235 euro, mentre nel settore pubblico è di 9.378 euro. Ragazzi, come vi sentite a riguardo?

Yes. This is the social contract so the population can be ok with 75% of their labor being foreign. Why is anyone surprised by this or outraged? It’s normal given the context.

You thinks only foreigners are concerned ? Even as a native Luxmbourger working in the private sector, In the near future I need to flee to germany or france because I cannot afford to live in my own Country. And the response from everyone in my Family? Just get a governement position. THIS IS THE PROBLEM!

This will eventually break Luxembourg. If you are getting 2x in the public sector (with no downsides whatsoever) than in the private sector, Lux citizens will simply stop working in the private sector.

That will be a colossal brain and ressources drain on the private sector. And raising private sector pay to that of the public sector will have companies run for the border. Those companies that would stay, would massively increase their already high prices further.

Considering the perks of civil servants and civil employees (in particular being near impossible to get fired), their pay should be equal or slightly lower to that of a comparable job in the private sector.

Luxembourg has become a two-people state.

Luxembourgers get public sector positions, get to own most of the real estate, *and get to vote* for politicians that protect their interest. Latest example, not wanting to cap rents because that will discourage investors – sorry, since when is real estate an instrument of speculation instead of, you know, a way to house people?!

Non-Luxembourgers get to struggle, and because capital pays more than labour, will never get to the same level of life standard as Luxembourgers. No one defends their interest because they don’t vote.

Inequalities are increasing, and the gap will become staggering in the next few years.
