      No, you don’t send it back, you place it somewhere else on your next journey.

      Never seen a 8-Punkt Marienkäfer before though.

    3. “Posten” means “to post”, as in posting on social media. You’re supposed to photograph it, post about it in the relevant Facebook group using the hashtag #wandersteine, then take it somewhere else and leave for the next person to find. You should try to find a protected, but visible, spot, where it won’t be kicked about or peed on by dogs.

      Usually there is a name of a Facebook group to post to, but I can’t quite figure it out (unless it’s “Wandersteine” and that’s actually not a hashtag after all). I guess 86567 is the postal code of whoever painted this stone, which means it originated in a place called Hilgertshausen-Tandern, which is just north of Munich.
