If it’s true as many observers have been saying that the target Su-57 will be nonfunctional without an overhaul that it will likely never receive, that’s pretty good work for a couple of near misses.
If it’s also true that this particular airframe was being used as a testbed for new weapons to be developed for use against Ukraine, it puts Russia in the position of having to pull another 57 off of active duty to replace it. Or lose some of their capacity to innovate and adapt.
Alternately, of course, Russia could start adopting the practice of building hangars at its airbases. But since they don’t even bother storing tanks indoors I can’t see that changing any time soon….
