Mi chiedevo se qualcuno ha avuto un’esperienza simile? So che la gente va in Francia e prende la nave per il Regno Unito.

Yeah, we also went by car/ship. This way, our dog only needed to stay in the car (a place he is familiar with) alone for a while, much nicer. There is also a train from France to UK, much faster than the ship but also more expensive.
I don’t know about regulations when flying, but I wouldn’t want my boy to be stored in some box like cargo; and I think they are sedated during the flight?
Lufthansa is the only airline left where you can check animals in as cargo without a third-party company. I’ve got this exact scenario (to US though) booked and confirmed for this month with two cats and a dog. Not sure what went wrong with yours…
We flew from the US to Germany with Lufthansa and had our dog in the lower part of the plane. Worked just fine. Two passengers had dogs small enough to travel with them directly. I saw them with my own eyes so I’m not sure why they’re saying this to you. We flew a week ago.
