Per farla breve, ho vissuto in Germania con la mia ex per cinque anni. Durante il periodo lì, abbiamo ottenuto un abbonamento al McFit e siamo andati in palestra alcune volte. Dopo un po’ abbiamo voluto smettere e abbiamo inviato loro una lettera tramite posta per annullare l’iscrizione. Circa un anno dopo mi hanno inviato un’e-mail dicendo che dovevo loro dei soldi e li abbiamo immediatamente rispediti via e-mail dicendo loro che avevamo inviato loro una lettera tramite posta per annullarla e ovviamente non avremmo pagato alcuna commissione. Ho ricevuto un’e-mail da RSG Debin dicendo che gli devo 447 euro! Il che è assolutamente folle. Cosa posso fare? Io e il mio ex abbiamo cercato la copia della lettera che abbiamo spedito e ho cercato l’e-mail ma ho cancellato tutto il materiale dalla Germania quando sono tornato. E il mio ex non è riuscito a trovare la copia della lettera che ha scritto. Vive ancora lì e io sono tornato negli Stati Uniti circa 9 mesi fa. Dovrei ignorarlo? Posso?

Gym membership here is ofthen at least one full year. Did you check your contract? Moving is a case where you can cancel earlier but you need to state that in your cancelation letter. Did you ever get a confirmation for your cancelation? It would state the date there.
Likely nothing will happen if you just ignore it, if it’s a simple letter you have no way to prove it, an email would have been better so they’re in their right to ask you money
Now they won’t open a case for such amount of money so probably they will sell the debt and someone will harass you with mail and phone call but they can’t really do anything, especially now that you live in another country and you can even go back to Germany, nothing will happen to you and that I guess you don’t have any German bank account (tho to take the control they need to open a case and not sure but I think in Germany the minimum is at least 500 (which it could maybe be reached with interest and etc, but I think it’s safe to say you don’t risk anything)
