This is EXCELLENT thinking.
Skyranger is formidable against drones and the 35mm autocannon is quite potent against ground targets as well.

Hm, I don’t like this idea very much. The number of remaining Leopard 1 is limited. Developing Skyranger version for such old platform which is available in such limited numbers looks like a waste of ressources for me, Version for Boxer or Lynx are ready for mass production already. These platforms can be built from scratch so there is no limit on the quantity to be produced. There is enough capacity for the chassis since the AA tower/system is the new part of it. Plus, new platform has it’s advantages on it’s own.

The Bushmaster mounted on the Bradley has done some fierce work. Bradley’s are agile, I think Germany is going in the right direction here.
