Feel like this was operator error. I’m not sure how you could make a 30mm that was not accurate at 100m. Even if the stabilizer was out it should do better than that.
I’m guessing this is what you get when you put a conscript with 3 weeks training into a gunner’s seat. Said conscript justifiably panics as he has no fucking clue what he is doing. Then just starts holding down the trigger hoping for the best.

I’m always a little embarrassed when I hear about the m113, since we rode in these in 1973 and others used them before.
It’s only changed a little, and it’s not much of an armored vehicle being slightly resistant to Small Arms fire.
They are certainly better than Scooby vans but they are nowhere near a modern fighting vehicle.
If they work for ukrainians I’m all for, giving them every single one and I hope that each of them will save a lot of Ukrainian lives.

The M113 while techinically is an APC really should be considered a misnomer. The M113 really should not be considered anything above a “battle taxi”. There are some wild clips on r/combatfootage that showcase men with future careers as wheelmen, but I get anxious af when I see one sticking around for any actual fight. That said, a 113 is infinitely better than the heinz 57 varieties of unarmored civilian vehicles
In short, the term apc should be taken with some (big ish) grain of salt if an M113 and 82A are lumped under it. The 82A is a bit of an exception in that it’s one of few APCs with firepower to shoot its way out of hairy situations. Even if 30mm has some flaws, that autocannon can still damage certain equipment of MBTs enough to ruin their day.

It is not a fighting vehicle. It is meant for transporting troops etc….

What would be the next propaganda? How a can openner can disable M1? What a pile of bovine manure
