I was sad that they said that it won’t be until 2030
I’m glad the talks are happening but none of this is going to be possible until the wars are over, Ukraine is 10 years away from joining the EU with an insanely optimistic timeline. Ukraine needs guns, guns, guns, and ammo. When the hell is the EU as a block going to be able to supply Ukraine with the material they need? Guns, tanks, morters, planes, trucks, and everything else. The EU as a whole is a 30 trillion dollar economy. In a limited scale war on the European continent, France, Germany, and the UK cant even defend that. It’s all nuts.
This, not NATO membership, is what the whole invasion was to stop. It’s about time.
I hope for both countries to join us.
As a Brit, torn away from the EU, I am excited for Ukraine and Moldova.
