Sono a Benidorm, ho preso un po’ di contanti e mi hanno dato una banconota da 50 euro strappata. Sono andato a Santander ma poiché non era il bancomat fuori dalla banca non me l’ha cambiata. Ho provato a chiamare la banca Targo dalle 11 di mattina e nessuno risponde al telefono e non ci andrò per sentirmi dire la stessa cosa. Ho chiamato il numero del bancomat, ho premuto 3 per l’inglese e lei parlava pochissimo inglese e mi ha detto che era solo per le carte ingoiate e non sapeva darmi consigli su come cambiarle.

      no shop should accept it, but every bank branch(delegation/office/place) have a procedure to send damaged banknotes (if more thn 50% is ok) to the central bank of spain. It may take time and be a pain in the assets but you shouldn’t loss money becouse of a damaged banknote

      I would go back to the ATM to get all the info you can: Address, serial number of ATM, Timestamp when you got the note, etc etc. After that, go to an office of Banco Santander and ask them to replace the note (the sooner, the better). Maybe they can find the other part of the note. If they refuse, next step could be going to an office of Banco de España.

      Also call your bank and tell them the problem, maybe they can help you.
