Good, they didn’t deserve to control it in the first place.
Actually when they hide in port they may be safer from the sea drones but as they are in a small relatively stationary location they become so much more susceptible to attacks from the air. Russia is in pretty much a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. I imagine that is the reason they have moved much of the fleet to the sea of Azov to be able avoid both threats.
Oh I’m fully waiting to see them push these out the back of a C130 and they just sit waiting for an expedited vessel or fleet to come by.
The question immediately occurs….what does this mean for any other modern navy who gets involved in littoral warfare (i.e. within feasible drone range of hostile-controlled land)? Are submarine ships even safe?
On edit – I realize I might be using the term ‘modern’ a little broadly when describing the Russian erm fleetski.
