In DK we affectionately call it butter disguised as cheese, because it lacks any sort of character or nuance. I like it too, dont get me wrong, but its just very basic.
What you have there is very likely the same as most Danes would buy and eat.

There are local variants and they are better. That being said, nothing wrong with the one from Arla 🙂
U should try the old Ole. It’s aged havarti. Don’t look up how it’s made though
Havarti is geo protected, meaning that only cheese produced in Denmark may be called Havarti.
What you’re showing in the picture is a true danish made havarti, may not be the best brand but its the real deal as far havarti goes. 😁
You should definitely try Gammel Knas, if you can find it. It’s one of the best, if not the best, Havarti you can get. Problem is, there’s a shortage at the moment because people went crazy for it and it takes a while to mature.
Well, it’s a decent cheese, not strong, suitable for children’s taste buds.
