Si tratta di un cambiamento nel suo posizionamento? Non sto esprimendo giudizi di valore perché sono sicuro che ci sia molto di più tra le righe, semplicemente non ricordo che abbia affermato “non significa tutti i territori” in precedenza.

🙁
I really hope it’s not capitulation
Never give up Crimea. Russian scum can go f themselves and they will meet severe economical headwinds for years to come.
Even if the war stops, the West should keep sanctions alive and force the Nazis to pay for rebuilding.
Is this concern trolling? 🤔
How’s mobilization going? I’m not hearing anything positive about this important aspect of winning a war
Listen to the context. He stressed out that Ukraine doesn’t have to return all the territory by the use of a weapons and on battlefield but rather that some of it can be returned trough diplomacy.
Was always the way . Take the strategic best points and fight them in the places they are the weakest killing more of them than them of UKR. Weaken thier army till it’s got no steam and runs out .. then little counter attacks will work Better . Never take back land if the losses are too high. Leave it and stay at a better place to defend off attacks and weaken . Russia just keeps throwing men at these well defended UKR places and this is all working.
It has been a long 2.5 years and it is wearing him down, and the talk with trumpussy did not help.
God, I am going to hate living in a moscovian, lower mongolia, old persia, and starvation nation world.
I have so so so much fucking respect for this man — having been a war leader for 2.5 years must be so stressful – I cannot even handle my own life let alone that of 38 million. ✌️
No. I think this is more or less him saying we will be retaking Chrimea and improve our position at the table as well as the outcome of the war. Somehow it feels to me they are willing to trade the 2 eastern terrorities as long as they get peace and Chrimea in return, but I could be wrong. But since both parties are focusing heavily now on Chrimea and air superiority and many of Ukraine’s operations are focusing on thinning the defenses there, I would not be surprised if they have something like that planned.
Situation on battelfield is what decide about diplomacy.
Putin will die eventually
A bit misleading. Watch the clip.
He is arguing if Russia and those who enable it realize this war was an error, the hot phase can be over and an orderly and protected retreat could be facilitated.
He is not altering his conditions. He is saying, if certain parties pull their heads out of their asses, this can be ended and unwound.
He is expressing, an absence of a desire for national or personal revenge, imo. Bit misleading headline.
The most important thing is that sanctions not be lifted for Russia. But likely the only two things Russia won’t accept is sanctions staying and giving back land
He knows that Ukraine will probably not have the support of the United States after January. They need to make the best possible preparations for that situation.
I don’t see a changing in position. (Or positioning if you prefer longer words.)
“It doesn’t mean that all territories must be recaptured,” is not the same as “It doesn’t mean that all territories must be returned.”
What Zelensky is observing is simply that, at this point, if Russia is spanked hard enough then even Putin may be willing to call it quits, rather than face the prospect of further humiliation on the battlefield.
Personally, I am not much convinced that Putin will ever do that, under any circumstances, even if it means eventual complete defeat and his own personal demise. Because I believe that Putin’s true, probably unconscious, motivation is actually to see as many former Soviet peoples die as possible, in retaliation for having once betrayed the glorious USSR. Thus he will always rationalize keeping the war going — any war, every war — until doing so becomes physically impossible.
But, I also get that you have to leave the door open. Both for the possibility however slim of Putin coming around, and also as a signal to your allies and to your own beleagured people — that all this sacrifice is not purely for its own sake, that you see an end to the conflict, that you are hoping dearly for it and are prepared to negotiate to make it happen if a real opportunity to negotiate ever arises.
1. Bring UA in the position to put maximum pressure on russia on the battlefield and recapture the majority of territories.
2. Bring russia to the table in a moment of sheer terror for the putin regime since losing the war probably means losing the power. At least the specter of this should be sufficient.
3. Tell them if they don’t give back the territories to UA, the west will allow them to strike inside russia with long range weapons and their armies will be destroyed. Also, no one can control Kiew once their on the border. Could be that they snatch belgorod and rostov as well.
4. Try to make a deal with Lukashenko. Your regime may persist if you sell out Putin to us. He will not deny this once its a real possibility that russia falls.
My concerns are a post WW1 and pre WW2 scenario. WW1 was never truly resolved, and less than 20 years later, another World War was beginning. Yet all the political influencers of the war believed WW1 “was the war to end all wars.”. I don’t see much difference here.
Will the West ensure that that Ukraine has all the weapons and ammunition that it needs, and allow Ukraine to use it as it sees fit. NO EFFING RESTRICTIONS!
