Norimberga — riflessioni su quest’area? (contesto nel primo commento)

Hello all! I moved to Nuremberg and have been flat hunting. The best one I found is located here in the photo, north Gibitzenhof and a little close to south Gostenhof. (first photo above is a zoom in, second is the same but zoomed out)

The flat is for me really perfect (newly renovated, all furniture with great interiors, wash/dryer, garden area for socializing, Aldi/main station/city center close by) but I got some warnings about the area. I’ve heard that south is not the safest, but have also heard from a few others that this area where the flat is isn’t that bad but would still like to hear thoughts from the Reddit community because the feedback is very mixed!

I wonder if it’s really as bad as people say, or if it’s just some talk about the population living there being more foreign/not as wealthy? Would really appreciate it; I’m a woman in my mid-20s and care about safety! (Although I’ve lived in Barcelona and Manila, I understand that these are unsafe cities😂)

Grew up in Nürnberg. You are very much near the city centre there. Expect the usuall: 4 story buildings, very diverse culture, partygoers at night. Ive been around the area multiple times in the evening and nothing ever happened. Altough i am a rather tall broad male, so maybe thats the reason. You should be about as save as any other city centre around the country. Which is my expierence is rather safe in generall.
