I recall at the start of the war there was a black man who joined the ukrainian military with his white ukrainian friends. There was a video of him and his friends in the frontlines of the East they all seemed happy and there wasn’t a lot of action going on at the time. I always wondered what happened to him. For no other reason than that he was one of the few Ukrainians who physically stood out. There are of course others that stood out to me, but I haven’t been able to find anything else about him.

Also there was this extremely skinny and young blonde haired Russian soldiers that switch sides very early in the war. He talked about how glad he was to be fighting for Ukraine now. And one of the first Russians to switch sides and show his face. Lost track of him too.
