Is the source ‘validated’ and ‘true’?
If so/true…a question: Could it be that Mr. Sullivan, the United States National **Security** Advisor, causes a lot of “**un-secure**” situations for Ukraine? US is giving a lot….most of the weapons, no doubt. But sometimes I am loosing confidence….sorry to say that.
Ukraine is forced to consider building it’s own ATACMS.
This system uses a combination of navigation technologies to avoid GPS jamming, similar to Storm Shadow. One component is terrain reading using a topographical map and altimetry, another newer capability is object recognition adapted to map read that is now available to Ukraine at a low cost which it can and is developing itself.
The above systems do not rely on one method, for example ATACMS uses an inertia navigation system based on ring lasers. This isn’t new technology, but it gives much lower angular error rates.
Because now AI is affordable and the hardware for it is capable, optical recognition systems probably mean off the shelf and less accurate ring laser designs or other inertia navigation is viable when used together.
The next problem is stealth and speed. Speed relies on micro jet engines if you want range, the design in Storm Shadow is decades old.
I have been saying for a while that Ukraine needs to develop drone engines and micro turbines and mass produce these but some are available although are quite expensive.
Even the jets being used in powered wingsuits may be applicable here, although with duct shaping to bring down inlet air velocity.
To increase range another launch vehicle may carry these, and it would use then a folding wing.
Stealth can be increased to a degree and backed up with decoy systems that may use cheaper rockets or thermal signatures from burners. Radar stealth is achievable with carbon composites. CNT, graphene polymers or via simple carbon black additives, so that you can make larger objects look like smaller decoys. Thermal signature can be improved. Most turbo jet mini engines just focus on gas flow, not shady power, but you can attach a high bypass ratio fan to a micro jet via a slow RPM turbine in the exhaust, which is how turboprops often work. By shaping airflow to the bypass fan, the fan can operate at higher air speeds.
This can increase thrust and fuel efficiency from a small jet, and should be a fairly easy engineering job compared to the jet engine itself.

As much as I believe these restrictions should have been lifted long ago. I do remember hearing in the beginning of the war Ukraine developing their own longer range missile that was close to being ready called GROM or something along those lines. Has anyone heard anything recently on the matter? Hopefully it wasn’t one of those we are almost ready (for a very very early stage prototype).
