An armored division, nice wonder if those are Abrams Tanks.

These guys are incredible. Caught them napping and unaware. It just shows the ridiculous Russian mentality that they though this couldn’t happen – that it wasn’t allowed to happen. Well guess what fuckers, it’s happening right now and there’s more to come.

Maybe we should give Ukrainian some UH-1 Cobras or even Apaches. Lol

I’ve been saying this the entire war ever since Russia pulled out of northern Ukraine, taking Russian territory will make your negotiation position a lot more powerful!

      So happy it’s finally happening.

Imagine being part of something like this.. The morale of the soldiers involved must be off the charts. They’ve been getting pounded by russian bombs for the last months. Now they’re taking the fight to Russia. Ukrainian soldiers must be thirsty for blood

They are busy cutting the main Kursk-Belgorod highway and taking control of the important rail line at Lgov with its marshalling yards that runs from Kursk to Belgorod and as an added bonus if they take Koreneov it has a line that runis into Ukraine.

Russia is having a real bad day at the office and its only going to get worse, if Ukraine can secure both the road and rail link they can bring in more units resupply easier and push on.

Interesting. If they make it to the Nuke plant. I’m sure Russia will cry and whine like absolute crazy.

i thought there wasnt enough men in the ukrainian army lol

They are in tube artillery range of it that’s fucking ridiculous. There is no way to make this not embarrassing for Russia. They could clear Ukraine out tomorrow and they would lose a lot only to have the achievement of capturing parts of Russia

    10. SlavaUkrainiFTW on

So does Russia not have any internal defenses remaining? It appears that they shipped everything they had into Ukraine, and they have pretty much no way to stop this. It reminds me of the Wagner push.

Surely the Russians understand that Ukraine needs a buffer zone in Russia.

Does it ever stop being embarrassing to be Russian? Jeeeez

    13. Tiptoeplease on

Least we don’t need to clean up the dead and rotting in Russia. They used to the smell anyway

    14. If you are wondering why Russia has been quiet with the nuclear blackmail, perhaps it is because the Kursk NPP has 2 of the infamous RBMK reactors (Chornobyl) still in operation. Unlike the Zaporizhzhia NPP, these reactors do not have fortified containment domes and contain the highly volatile graphite moderated reactors.

I believe 25km is within range of medium range artillery. This might put an end to Russian nuclear blackmail.

Stopping this from Russias perspective will probably involve use of arial support and/or glide bombs. I find it interesting that they planned this just after the first F16 made it to Ukraine. Curious if Russia will launch planes for support and/or if Ukraine will managed to shoot any down.

I suggest do not get to carried away with these reports. I think some of these “captures” are just incident reports between Ukraine advanced recon teams and sporadic local opposition. Likely there is not actually much “opposition” as Ukraine is beyond the main RU defensive lines.

And I am highly skeptical that the NPP is the target for Ukraine. It creates more issues to occupy it then it does to head north and just cut the E38. Not to mention that these long spearheads can be highly vulnerable and difficult to support.

I love seeing Ukraine give the ruzzians a taste of their own medicine. But I strongly suspect other motives despite the allure of the nuclear power plant may have for some.

    17. drmq1994 on

I am counting with a push from the area that Russia tried to advance recently.

Am I the only one that is almost having an orgasm?? I just hope that the Ukrainian losses are kept minimal 🙏

    18. Read elsewhere there is fighting near the nuclear plant. Kremlin is not in control of anything.

    19. Come on, it can’t look that easy, right? Move this event to the Mexico / US border and the US would rain hell down on them in less then 12h.

I hate the dumb jokes, but in this case: ‘What Russian Airforce doing?”

I know the Russians have to keep up appearances that they are worried about hitting their own civilians, but still.

    20. P-Potatovich on

Are they planning to capture nuclear power plant as well? If so, what is strategic goal in that? Thx

    21. TheGreatGamer1389 on

Ya they are definitely going for the nuclear power plant. Gives them a nice bargaining chip.

    22. They’re going for the plant. It’s obvious.

That’s going to be a good trade for a certain other one.

    23. Trick_Doctor3918 on

Same question I asked on another thread: I wonder if Putin could see this as an excuse to use a tac-nuke on his own territory… Maybe not on Ukraine soil, but his own? Then (as usual): blame Ukraine. So he gives up a couple settlements, but demonstrates his strategic ‘prowess’ by owning himself.

Any thoughts about this from smarter people than me?

    24. MarkaSpada on

Bold of ruzzia to assume Ukraine won’t invade them. 😆
      The invaders getting invaded.

Ruzzian army is the second army in ruzzia. What a circus.
