Of course it could. Germany chooses not to.

As a country that hasn’t paid its full sub to NATO, I think Germany ought to find the money.

€200B of frozen assets are sitting in EU, they can use that money

All comittments already given will be fulfilled including the 8 billion to be spent this year and 4 billion Euro already reserved for 2025. They now say they will not fund in top of that. If your country supplies more you may criticize. If not, shut up.

Edit: German federal govenrment parties are terribly fighting over budetary items atm. Once they come to terms and the upcoming elections in two states are done, I expect them to find some way of creative budgeting to enable additional help. Its just not the right time to announce such as one oft the three parties wants to be perceived as the safeguard of budgetary discipline.

Thats clickbait. 4 systems were promised for 2024 and they will be delivered. Its about systems on top of that. Sounds like a major psyops.

This is the like the fifth “Germany won’t do X for Ukraine” in a week. Somebody seems to be going into high gear to smear Ukraine’s third largest donor.
