      It’s an excellent tactic.

I’m sure there are many other tactics that they’ve planned to defeat.

      I wish them success.

There’s some fun days ahead for anything russian south of that river

    3. It’ll be interesting to see how much hardware Russia abandons.

I doubt it’ll be Kharkiv levels of wholesale abandonment, but Ukraine should pick up a few things in the sale.

    4. The russian soldiers will be glad to have a river between them and Ukrainians 😬

Speaking of bridges – out of curiosity, is it known whether Ukraine’s blown up the 4 bridges on Vovcha river between Prohres and Karlivka, or if they still stand?

I mean, I’m just an armchair general, but it seems to me like the orcs are quite focused on getting within range of Pokrovsk. Denying them crossing over the river would currently leave them with what, one road (going from Ocheretyne to Prohres) to move supplies, personnel, and non-amphibious armor to the front line?
That would force them to attack less important, geographically less advantageous, and easily predictable directions in the Pokrovskiy district and Novohrodivska hromada, in order to create buffer for their logistic routes, giving potentially giving Pokrovsk a few more weeks to fortify.
