Ukraine is dammed if it responds by defending the border, in which case Belarus is unlikely to attack and it’s dammed if it doesn’t defend, in which case Belarus might attack.
No good options for Ukraine here, but the situation isn’t new.
The only silver lining is that the people of Belarus are somewhat more clear minded then those of Russia. Even when they do nothing, they have a bigger influence on Belarusian decision making than you might expect.
That’s the very moment to send peacekeeping troops at the border -I’m looking at you, Macron.

I think a few countries around Belarus should do some military exercises around the border to Belarus.
Just in case it wants to do something like invading another country that hasn’t attacked it first.
