      If the Great Schism is to be reconciled, it will be with the churches of Eastern Europe, Near East and Constantinople, not the falsehoods of the Moscow Patriarchy. It long ago sold its soul and that of its adherents to the whims of its Kremlin masters. Redemption will take more than direct appeals to the Russian state church Putin wants, which sidelines the discussion quickly into the needs of his state, not the faithful.

      The tactics and optics matter here, best to make the course correction now.

      The catholic church is a very rich organization, and it spreads fear, protects pedophiles and tries to pretend there is room for their own hierarchy where their own leaders are more close to god than others, on earth. I am not surprised by this article, and have no love for the damage the catholic church brings this world.

      This should be no surprise to anyone. The Catholic Church is, and always has been, an authoritarian organization. They were in the pockets of the German Nazis and Spanish and Italian Fascists, and still are. This pope is no different, although he pretends to be.
