It literally says ‘Essen’ on it, but i am sure you already noticed that. It’s a souvenir sold to tourists
tourist tat. I don’t think anything like that was common in NRW, but this is explicitly with the coat of arms of the city of Essen. So it was some sort of tourist souvenir probably from the last 10-20 years.
