Unless Georgians does their own version of Euromaidan, Georgia will turn into dictatorship and full blown Russian vassal state

State religion doesn’t necessarily mean that it will stop being secular in every other aspect. For example, in Greece, where Orthodox Christianity is the state religion too, they were able to legalize same-sex marriage this year despite the church’s disagreement. But I get that this would probably not be the case in Georgia as the rulling party is pro-Russian.

That’s just going backwards. I like spains constitution in this regards: “No religion shall have a state character“.

Okay. What kind of Orthodox Christianity?

Why do Georgian people even tolerate that russian influence? There is no such thing as “being a neighbor of a belligerent asshole and needing to be careful”

And what’s the problem? Orthodox Christianity will just be state religion, others can peacefully practice their religions without any problems, why some pagans here have mental breakdown because of that?
Also in case of religious freedom Georgia was quite progressive, for example we all know how catholics and protestants burnt each other on fire, but in Georgia, in 12-13th centuries we had monophysite amirspasalar(amirspasalar was highest rank in Georgian army, amirspasalar commanded other soldiers and knights), just imagine in medieval orthodox christian kingdom, highest rank in army was held by a person who was monophysite, quite progressive for it’s time don’t you think so?
