That’s some damn good news
It’s the thought that counts. The attack goes beyond Sabre rattling. It’s a sword of Damocles reminder and whoever authorized the attack and carried it out need a reminder of their own. This was despicable to carry this out on a massive civilian center and shows these monsters would do anything to spread fear and terror. Russia is a terrorist state.
So, this time it’s only attempted genocide.
Shouldn’t they start draining the lake now just in case?
That means that the Russian attack was blunted sufficiently to not exceed a critical level of damage.
In other words, this is the difference that improved air defenses make. Even if they don’t intercept everything yet, the fact that Ukraine had as much air defense capacity as it did made the difference that day.
If Ukraine’s allies provide even more air defense, they will help make even more of a difference.
Russia is quite literally a threat to humanity.
It’s time to treat them as such.
