>Dear Sir/Madam, Please read the text below carefully. Each activation of a new delivery partner will not be eligible for Russian citizens in the future. It is irrelevant whether they have our (Serbian) documents. Therefore, please do not take them into account or call or ask about them, they will have no chance of being activated. Also, if we discover that a Russian citizen is working on a fake account, the same employer will be sanctioned and will no longer have the opportunity to activate new delivery partners at all.

The worst part? The affected Russian citizens in Serbia are overwhelmingly against Putin and the war in Ukraine. The also include prominent opposition figures from Russia and Belarus, like [Andrei Gnyot](https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/06/serbia-activist-andrei-gnyot-must-not-be-extradited-to-belarus/), with outstanding arrest warrants if they go back. By denying them employment, the Finnish company Wolt plays into Putin’s hand: without money, they will need to go back, and get arrested or conscripted.
The least thing to mention is that this is unconstitutional
Fingers crossed these people can migrate later somehow. Siberia is used for conscription a lot.

I can understand punishing oligarchs with ties to Putin by freezing their offshore assets, but punishing ordinary people just for having a certain kind of citizenship?
I don’t know Serbian law but this feels like it should be illegal.
Edit: I honestly didn’t think my comment would be so controversial, but I stand by it. Yes, what Russia is doing is terrible. Yes, some Russian immigrants are probably agents of Russia sent to European countries to do bad shit. Yes, some other Russian immigrants might be Putin fans. No, I still don’t see any of the above as a justification for collective punishment and labor discrimination.
I would like to remind you that all Germans were called Nazis for 30-40 years after the WWII. Even those who were against Nazism. And all citizens of Germany paid reparations. Are they against Putin? Let them fight with him either in Russia or as part of the Freedom of Russia Legion.

It’s important to say it is not related to Russian-Ukraine conflict nor it’s about nationalism but the thing is they are super rude, aggressive and large numbers of restaurants started employing personal deliveries so company decided to stop the root of the problem.
