Poland has as much right to defend its borders from armed attack drones as Turkiye had the right to shoot down that attack jet.
There are no NATO red lines where this is concerned. Awful reporting and headline in this article.

If they wanna get symbolic they could start on the 17th since it’d mark the 85th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland.

So if poland wanted to go in and secure the northern border with Belarus as a peace keeping function. That would be just fine right? Toss in some other countries around freeing up troops all across that front.

If human lifes is one or the highest good we have – it is consider as such -, and we spot a missile or drone coming from russia on it’s way to an ukrainian city, where it most likely will end human lives and we are able to protect those lives by shooting down the missile, we have an absolut moral obligation of stopping those missiles.
By letting those missiles fly unintercepted and not protecting the lifes we would actually become accessories to the murder.
Remember: This is not two nations that want to fight each other, there is ukraine, which wants a peace that allows them to survive as free beings and russia who wants to end ukraine.

If I was polish I’d be fucking furious that my government was letting a dictator use the airspace as a basically buffer zone where no one can shoot anything down if it travels through.
Russia already sent their drones and missiles into polish territory with no apology or explanation. If NATO wanted to legally declare war now we could. Russia isn’t going to do shit if Poland takes reasonable measures to defend itself that happen to also disrupt few attacks on Ukraine.
Poles had 85 years to think about what they would did if they were in place of 1939 year UK and France.
Why they continue to think?
If there is a red line, it is the fact that an object fired by russia, is flying in NATO airspace.
To shot this object down, should be standard procedure. (As long as it is safe.)

Poland should go even further. They should say publicly that if Belarus enters ukraine then Poland will attack Belarus.
The only countries that seem to have a sense of urgency in helping ukraine and stopping russian expansion are those countries near russia. That might give the other nato countries a clue as to why they want things done asap
