      That’s cool…..but these things ain’t exactly a Skunkworks level project. Pretty sure my local RC Airplane Club has their own Shahed knockoff.

      The design has no control surfaces visible. Either there is a tail we cannot see from this angle or it is using vectoring of the pusher propeller which seems unlikely. It’s using an opposed cylinder engine. I’m not sure why it has an angular body except maybe for ease of fabrication but based on what is seen I’m assuming this is far from fully developed. The wings are also attached at right angles to the fusilage, which creates interference drag. This area should be contoured and a better arrangement is to place them in the midsection on a circular Cross section body, which also makes it easier to trolley launch it as you can rest the body on the trolley and it naturally lifts off as the speed get high enough. This is used on one of the UA jet drones that does not yet have a designation. The straight edges of the fusilage also interferes with the airflow ingested at the rear.

      A big game changer will be novel engines with increased efficiency and high power density that can be made fairly cheaply, as jets are inefficient and expensive. This is possible and an area where I think more work should be going into, as it allows more spees and range with decent payload fraction. As it’s slow there will be high lift induced drag from the low aspect ratio wing.

      It may be intended to have some stealth features explaining the swept wing since this isn’t a fast drone.
