Because they can’t be arsed to clean up and also there are people who buy the “wrong” tickets for a higher price by accident or bc they do not know any better.
these tickets are aimed at tourists while the d-ticket is not.
the d-ticket is aimed at commuters mainly, hence why you can’t just buy one and need a monthly subscription.
Tourists who aren’t here enough to benefit from the Deutschland ticket? People who normally don’t take the train but may need to take multiple trains in one day?
Lots of reasons.
It’s like asking “Why do they sell magazines individually when there are subscriptions?”
Different needs, different tickets.
