The people who claim that Russia would never attack NATO are the same people who claim that they’d never invade Ukraine and that the build up along the border was just another 4D chess move by “based” Putin.

While it seems unthinkable, alliances require that everyone be on the same page, Russia is doing itself upmost through influence operations to fracture NATO cohesiveness as much as possible. No doubt that if such a situation occurred with a Russian invasion of the Baltic’s, you’d get the same appeasers from 2014 claiming that Latvia or Estonia aren’t worth starting WW3 over and demanding that they “negotiate” with Putin…funny how the onus is always on the invaded party to seek peace, never on Russia to withdraw. Funny that.
