I realise that they are doing this to avoid possible litigation from the EU courts, but they should limit *all* harmful content to teenagers *everywhere*. This demeonstrates that they are clearly capable (and likely have been for a while) to identify such content.

Shaming people for being ‘out of shape’ is a negative approach and obviously bad content. But almost any content aimed at improving your fitness is ultimately aimed at altering your shape and composition.

Dang, so are we banning the Kardashians too? No I dont think so, even though they are setting a sick example of body standards.

I hope they also limit those who also support morbid obesity.

This just shows that in all these situations where the execs enshittfied the platform, and the community said “it could’ve been completely avoided if only you put the bare minimum effort and slightly changed the algorithm manually”, we were right and they consciously chose to ignore the end-user input.

They should limit the amount of right wing, conservative, Andrew Tate bullshit I get recommended. That is much more annoying to me.

What a stupid decision. As always, only in Eu you can have such bright ideas. Why does anyone care that someone watches fitness videos? It’s his/her problem to idealise or not what is shown in those videos
