Yes, why bother to buy something again when the product is so skimpy. I quit one subscription razor place and haven’t been back to pizza places ( national chains that had decent reputations) because of poor quality.
Save a few pennies and loose thousands being greedy.
For the consumer? Yes! For the guys practicing it? No.
It’s a great way to ruin your own brand.
Im not dumb enough to fall for it… usually. Sometimes companies get real smart and keep their packaging big or even bigger, but reduce the grams. If someone is in a hurry they wouldn’t check.
I bought a Twix this weekend at a gas station and noticed it’s now smaller than I remembered.
I wonder if this will have 2nd order effects like people becoming healthier because they eat less (junk food).
We have an overweight/obesity crisis in Europe. Eating less is the answer, not the problem.
my tuna cans didn’t change in size, but has some tuna replaced with water, spilling on opening now – same enshittification / shrinkflation idea
