Tsqaltubo, Georgia, è una piccola città con molti palazzi costruiti dal regime di Stalin per le vacanze dei lavoratori dell’industria pesante, destinati a recuperare i loro corpi altamente stressati (e avvelenati). Oggi è per lo più abbandonata.

      Imagine working in aircraft factory on sukhoi su-25 or mig-21 and going on vacations here. Dreamy.

      Been there recently, lovely place, vibe is completely different compared to nearby Kutaisi. This place has very spacious feel, different sense of distance and area. Abandoned palaces, resorts, some working modern/modernised ones, vast parks. I currently reside in Batumi and feel is totally different.

      If you’re visiting Tsqaltubo, car is highly recommended to move around place, not really suited for walking.

    4. What’s the surrounding area like? I could imagine taking parts of these and turning it into a resort town, if there’s a way to draw people in.
