This is beautiful; On my mother’s side of the family we are 1/2 Polish and 1/2 Ukrainian.
I had cousins who were culturally either Polish or Ukrainian. When grand babica would have a get-together we each wore our best blouses and skirts and would have a nice Saturday afternoon together. She was our matriarch and when she crossed over to the fields of flowers and peace then the next generation would continue on..
One long lineage back to the early 1900’s when they all had emigrated to the US and settled in the Chicago area.
These dresses are not just for show.
