That article reads like some kind of dystopian horror novel. Imagine being a good tenant for 13 years, and then overnight this happens.

And the guards, ‘civil matter’. It wouldn’t have been a ‘civil matter’ if the family broke back in.

Looks like the tenant was overholding going by the timeline. Another argument for why we need strong laws to enforce evictions in a prompt manner when the eviction date elapses.
