It’s a good project, all of them from the people I’ve met really care about transeuropean democracy. However, I can doubt if EU memberstates and their populations are really ready for it.

I voted for them. They’re on the city council, doing good work and aren’t as conservative / snobbish as the greens while being very pro-environment as well.

idea is solid and cool, but i don’t think they have the sufficient institutional preparedness or intellectual background to transform the entire continent. disappointed with volt’s indolence.

I don’t really see the point of them. Their program seems to be limited to being pro Europe and left wing social politics. So basically the green party without the climate/environmental issues

I agree with many of their beliefs, but in my opinion, it’s just a party destined to fail. They have really bad branding, non-charismatic politicians and single-issue parties are usually not successful.

I wish them well, I didn’t vote for them because I value an social democratic ideology above most others. And Volt just isn’t that. But I align on many of their principles. And I am very pro-EU/pro-federalization. So go Volt.

I would vote for them if their migration policies werent so liberal, just make frontex bigger, Schengen doesnt work if you dont properly control the exterior borders.

Hopelessly naive, and wet behind the ears. Also, way too much emphasis on gender equality / diversity over addressing wider and more serious societal, economic, and geopolitical issues – which is mainly due to a lack of capability.
Everyone will have a gratuitous opinion on genderneutral toilets, it gets more difficult when providing a vision on European industry policy – that requires people with working experience and deep expertise.
Once voted Volt, was a member, seen the party a bit from the inside in the Netherlands, decided that I’m too old for this – too many teenagers with no experience in real jobs fighting over very niche / metropolitan social policies. Even though I’m quite federalist when it comes to Europe.

I voted for them both in national elections and for the EU elections.

I like the pro-EU stances and progressive ideas, but I miss some of the more left-leaning economic policies of the green and social democratic parties. I’m also not sure if their federalist ideas are really in line with the realpolitik of the way the EU is set up. I get the idea behind Volt and like some of it, but it’s just a bit too idealistic to really work.

At least the Swedish chapter hasn’t left me a very good impression. If you went to their webpage throughout the entire election campaign earlier this year, the very first thing you’d be met with was the country name being misspelled.
Now anyone can of course make a typo, but not double checking something as simple as that, nor fixing it for months even though people literally pointed it out, kind of encapsulates my entire impression of their seriousness here.

I don’t want there to be pan-european parties. EUP coalitions – yes, but not parties. I want EU but with local politics, please. Our diversity is a virtue and people shouldn’t feel overwhelmed by politics of other countries. “Some People in Paris decided what should happen in Finland” is a recipe for disaster.

Some good people with good ideas, but also a lot of very poor(to borderline incompetent) politicians with very poor ideas. At least, here in the Netherlands. No clue what they’re like anywhere else.
I’m personally also not a big fan of some of their overly progressive policies.
They for example refuse to compete in local(e.g. city council) elections if they can’t find a 50/50 split in male/female politicians. So if there are lots of men interested in their politics, but not that many women, they simply won’t compete.

They were really able to win me over. I have a background in IT and had a big focus on copyright stuff and was once a big fan of the Pirate Party here in Germany and Volt was able to capture the spirit and the thought that the Pirate Party wasn’t able to – to unite behind a shared set of goals which happened to be progressive and reflective. I like it, the local teams do great work and I hope that we will get to see more.
