Nuclear blackmail based off of 1 man’s political ego is an unsustainable foreign policy. The rational could lead to self-destruction as the most viable option.

Didn’t they already state any use of nuclear in Ukraine was a red line and would result in them being flattened anyway, as nuclear war knows no borders?
Kinda hard to be intimidated by a flaccid threat when your threat of ultimate response has already been on the table for over a year.
No nuclear threats wont stop the support of Ukraine by its allies.
It needs to be made clear these threats will only strengthen the resolve to support Ukraine even more.

Nuclear Threats are not something that should be entertained or put up with, it’s essentially holding the rest of the world hostage because they’re too incompetent and too corrupt to force their will on others by any other means. Putin’s Russia thinks this somehow projects power, it doesn’t it projects weakness and desperation because they’re losing a conflict they instigated.
Threats are cheap, actions entail devastating consequences. These threats are hollow and worthless because crossing that suicidal line of stupidity would possibly provoke every other country into dealing with Russia as an existential threat and it would end badly for them.
They have their out: Get out of Ukraine and this war ends.
