      Congrats lads, well earned.

Top rate will have gone from €35,300 to €44,000 in 5 years

USC changes (probably) from 2019 to now

      – First €12,012 0.5% – no change
      – Next €7,862 2% – now €13,748 2%
      – Next €50,170 4.5% – now €44,284 3%
      – Balance8% – no change

Will probably see additional credit increases

The big question is, will they accept the low pay commission recommendation? The government has never rejected a recommendation it so far.

      Wait and see I guess!

    3. What happened to the extra tier they were speaking last year?

Works out at 400 net bonus per year for those on 44k or over or 7.69€ per week. Not exactly a huge bonus and probably less than the welfare increases

That’s pathetic actually. My vote was depending on me getting money back into my pocket. This isn’t it.

Keeping their promise they made in the programme for government. What an absolute shower of cynical bastards these politicians are.

    7. Anything to do with the SF announcement? Timing is a bit sus.

I love how you can be a ‘top earner’ in this country but still be unable to afford some ex-council shithole to live in.

There’s your €20 a week distraction. Now go away like good lads and lasses and vote for us again and we’ll give you another score next year.

Less than 5% over how many years? And the inflation rate over the same period?
This is actually a tax increase.
