The Bashkir opposition does not support russia’s war against Ukraine. We in r/Bashkortostan fully support Ukraine. The Bashkir unit is fighting in the Ukrainian army, defending its interests and hoping to return to Bashkortostan to achieve independence
Russia is deliberately targeting its ethnic minorities – they want the country’s population to rise, but “the right part” of the population, i.e. the ethnic Russians.
Do they arrest people in Bashkortostan for speaking out against the war? Like elsewhere in Russia
Join the Army. You’ll get a regular paycheck and maybe get the hell out of Ufa.
Full disclosure: There is a chance you’ll be the cannon fodder to protect the ethnic Russians in a war.
