Restaurants paid article so they can justify giving smaller portions for environmental reasons instead of profit reasons
Doesn’t surprise me as one of the wealthiest countries.
A lot of people didn’t read past the headline “Unlike most other EU countries where householders are responsible for the largest share of food waste, the latest figures show food manufacturers in Ireland account for the biggest share of the problem at 31 per cent – representing an average of 45kg of food waste per inhabitant.”
Also we rank 3rd lowest for household food waste !
Surely it’s all the super generous Mediterranean & Balkan countries that give you enough food to feed a village. NL must be last on food waste – a few pieces of food for you and a tikkie

Well we had roast chicken for dinner and I’ve picked it clean 3 times already, might have one more go before bed.
My dad cooks massive portions of food and fucking dumps half of it, he really doesn’t give a fuck, wonder if most Irish people are like him?
