This topic has come up before with sports grants, but is it right that private schools receive public funds?

Am I on my own in thinking that 9 million is cheap if it takes a huge step towards effectively removing phones from schools?
And I’m not sure who’s supposed to be enraged by this headline, but the funding should be for every school and child regardless?
They’re not “controversial”.
If the evidence is that it’s a good policy for schools, and that funding these storage models can improve education for children, then why would we not fund *all* schools in the same way?
