Recentemente abbiamo racimolato i soldi per comprare una casa e, oltre a un bel cortile, abbiamo alcuni arbusti e tre pini colonnari. Mia moglie adorava il loro aspetto: ognuno è alto circa 6 metri. La signora che ci ha venduto la casa ha raccontato di essere stata avvicinata in passato da un architetto che voleva acquistarla. Circa due settimane fa, abbiamo ricevuto una lettera dal comune in cui si informava che sotto la nostra proprietà scorre un canale municipale e che le radici dei nostri alberi hanno causato danni alle tubature. Lo controllano solo ogni 5 – 7 anni, e questo è proprio l’anno (sorpresa, sorpresa). Il comune ha detto che tutto quello che possiamo fare è aspettare il conto e pagare. Non ho idea di quanto costerà. Sarebbe un peccato, ma invece di farlo diventare un tema ricorrente, ho pensato di abbattere gli alberi. A quanto pare avrei bisogno di permessi e il lavoro dovrebbe essere svolto da personale autorizzato – sembra che costerà almeno qualche migliaio di euro. Qualcuno ha un’idea se è possibile vendere alberi adulti maturi? E se sì, dove/come?

Sell adult trees? The moving of the tree would definitely cost more than anyone would be willing to pay. We’re talking up to 10,000€ just to have it professionally moved to a different place, few people will be willing to pay such a pricetag and instead just plant a small tree and wait for it to grow.
In general owning any kind of house will cost you such random bills from time to time. If it isn’t treeroots it will be a road getting renewed on your bill, or a new roof, or a new heating system
