Καλησπέρα.

When the Fast and furious franchise came out .Every body started modifying their cars.(following years)
The problem became so big that (gasp) the government took action.
The issue is not just the government to take action, which the laws are there but not enforced. The issue is the mentality of some of the motorcycle owners.
Recently a law was passed that motorcycles should pass MOT. What did some motorcycle owners did to avoid this? Removed their number plates. This way, even if the camera catches them, they cannot find them to be fined. Even the police car that reads number plates cannot catch them without them having number plates.
The police has an order not to chase them because in previous years that caused accidents since they don’t stop for a police check.
With people who have this type of mentality, what do you expect? Everyone, everywhere is tired of the noise. Year by year it only becomes worst.
In a few years the motorbikes will go electric, so I’m optimistic
You guys are talking about MOT and enforcing rules… it’s hilarious.
* Pickup trucks with 3 of the 4 brakes not working pass an MOT.
* Cars with completely rusted sub-frames pass MOT.
* Diesel cars (and trucks) with the DPF and EGR removed, pass the MOT.
* Cars with only working parking lights driving at night: passed the MOT.
* Cars driving at 57km/h in a 50km/h pulled over by the police (as they should), motorbike coming at 70km/h: no attempt whatsoever to stop it.
* OSEA bus driver talking in the phone at a traffic light; police opposite the bus and clearly seeing the bus driver: do nothing.
* Sitting in the taverna, with 2 police officers (off-duty) whilst a well known person who was banned from driving for 5 years drives past on his motorbike, with no license plate, no MOT, no insurance, no helmet and clearly recognizable… nothing happens.
The problem isn’t the mentality of “some of the bikers”, it’s the mentality of everyone.
It’s not just bikes in my opinion, it’s cars as well, with either loud exhaust systems bouncing off the limiter, or having big soundsystems (me included) that blast loud music in very crowded areas in terms of homes and at wrong times, I usually turn mine up whenever I’m somewhere with an equal amount of noise and want to listen to my music, or alone with my windows up.
Agreed, thanks for sharing
Highways already existed, you chose to live close to it. Plus what do you think a petition is gonna do? What do you think this is? Germany? England?
Its not your walls its your windows that need isolation.
While motorbikes with loud exhausts are very annoying, 90% of the noise comes from cars with loud exhausts.
Young dickheads have pretty much stopped using motorbikes and prefer cars to show off their non existent brains.
With the introduction of MOT for bikes ot might get a bit better, but my guess is that ot will be like cars, where they put the regular exhaust on for the inspection
